Dear Leicester families,

The Leicester Central School holiday concert has been a popular tradition for many years. This year, because of how the holidays line up with my schedule, it is not going to work to have a concert in December. Instead, in consultation with the rest of the staff, I have scheduled a Winter Concert for Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 6:30 (snow date Feb. 10.) This gives us uninterrupted rehearsal time in January, is not tied to any holidays,  and is a much less hectic time of year to have a concert.

I’m also planning a community sing-along on Wednesday, Dec. 16, during the school day (probably 1:15 or 1:30.) We’ll have cocoa and cookies and sing favorite songs together (both holiday songs and others.) I hope that many of you will be able to attend and join in this festive community event.

There is a tentative plan to have a spring arts celebration - art show, music “informance”, etc. - sometime in May. Stay tuned!

I know this is a big change. Thank you for your understanding. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns (mbarron@rnesu.org.)
