This year’s cross-country ski lessons have begun both during and after school! Pk-2 have three lessons at Rikert Nordic Center and 3-6 will have a whole day where they can choose cross-country or downhill lessons. Hannah Sessions is teaching skiing at Leicester Alive! too. A new first grader, Autumn, moved to Vermont from Louisiana. Here is what she had to say about her first ski lesson:

"It was good. They taught me how to ski and the bug thing. When you fall you put your feet in the air [like a dead bug] and then put your feet on the side. I helped people get up. I skied fast. There was a place where some tracks were not made, but I still went. When I got to a curve I fell. In Louisiana there is not this much cold. You don’t wear snow pants or heavy stuff. This is my first snow!"
